Kym Kares Independent Living Program is the Charlotte, North Carolina–based housing program created to support adults as they transition into stability.


We recognize that the journey into stability looks different for everyone. Some adults may be transitioning out of foster care, leaving an unstable living situation, beginning new employment, continuing higher education, or simply needing additional structure and support while learning how to maintain independence..


At Kym Kares, we provide a safe, structured, comfortable, and supportive living environment where adults can develope the skills, confidence, responsibility, and stability needed to successfully navigate life and living..

Kym Kares is designed for adults transitioning and who are ready to work toward greater independence and stability.


This may include young adults transitioning from foster care, young adults experiencing housing instability, displaced adults and others who would benefit from a structured and supportive environment while preparing for independent life living.
